2019 Richard Partridge Chardonnay, Napa Valley

$ 86.00

SOLD OUT

WINEMAKING NOTES:  We produced just about 200 cases of our Richard Partridge Chardonnay this year.  As usual, we did not put our Chardonnay through malolactic fermentation in order to preserve the bright citrus characteristics typical of Chardonnay grapes from the cooler Carneros Appellation.  This wine completed its aging process in 100% French oak (1/3 new oak) for 7 months.

TASTING NOTES:  This Chardonnay has aromas of pineapple, honeydew melon, and apple.  Complex and opulent, the crisp acidity on the palate is coupled with toasted oak notes and hints of butterscotch that deliver a smooth, lingering finish.

PAIR WITH:  Lobster, shrimp, chicken, turkey, and pork.  Goes well with basil, cream, and garlic sauces.  Avoid tuna, red meat, and acidic sauces that can take away from this wine's crisp acidity.
