2009 Richard Partridge Cabernet Sauvignon

$ 0.00

Winemaking:

Unseasonable heat in mid-September had a delayed effect on the timing of harvest in an otherwise ideal 2009 growing season.  The vines experienced little stress from frost or heat spikes, resulting in berries that showed intensity and clarity of flavors and aromas.  This wine was aged in 100% French oak (70% new) for 22 months.

The Vineyards:

Grapes were sourced from Hossfeld (50%, Napa) and Garvey (50%, St. Helena).

Tasting Notes:

Rich, extracted color with a core of blackberry, plum, mocha and espresso.  On the palate, this wine is full-bodied, powerful, and rich with espresso notes intermixed with blackberries and blueberries. Powerful ripe tannins and hints of sweet oak add to the age worthiness of this wine.
