2017 Richard Partridge Cabernet Sauvignon

$ 106.00

WINEMAKING NOTES

Hailing from our St. Helena estate vineyards, our 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits remarkable style and finesse. An abundant rain season in early 2017 was followed by a mild spring resulting in extended flowering. By Labor Day, a heatwave kicked harvest into high gear, then cool weather allowed sugar levels to return to normal. In early October, our 2017 grapes were in when warm, fierce winds fueled an unprecedented series of firestorms across the state. These fires grew to be the most destructive and costliest group of fires on record at the time. Our friends, family, and property all made it through, and we couldn't be more grateful to the many fire crews working day and night to ensure our safety.

TASTING NOTES:

Our 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits opulence and a rich color, making this wine powerful and elegant. It is spice driven, but the density gives off a mocha and blackberry finish. This is a rich flavor type wine with a touch of fruit and French oak.

PAIR WITH:  Grilled, roasted, or braised red meats with full flavor preparation. Great sauce pairings include meat stock, mustard, and pepper.
