2008 Richard Partridge Cabernet Sauvignon

$ 0.00

Winemaking:

The 2008 growing season saw a lack of early rain in the spring, then frost and a prolonged heat spell during bloom. Berries were small and inky black, with gorgeous flavor density, and this wine was aged in 100% French oak (70% new) for 22 months.

The Vineyards:

Grapes were sourced from Hossfeld (50%, Napa), Garvey (25%, St. Helena), and the Yates Family Vineyard (25%, Mt. Veeder).

Tasting Notes:

Inky purple color, as well as an extraordinary bouquet of dark berry, cassis, and spice.  The oak seems pushed to the background given the great concentration of fruit.  Ends with excellent balance and a long, persistent, fruit driven finish.
